Start with the difference.

A disputed total is a specific place to start. Compare the dates, filters, definitions and inputs before changing the report.

A focused first engagement.

One reproducible discrepancy in one existing report, with up to two stable aggregate inputs and three relevant metrics. A sample review determines whether a bounded correction is feasible and how it could be delivered.

1. Reproduce. Show the reported number, the result you expected and the rules behind each.
2. Agree. Scope a focused formula, mapping or aggregation correction using the existing tools where feasible.
3. Verify. Check before-and-after evidence and a separate comparison example.
4. Handover. Document what changed and leave a repeatable operator check.

What a useful result looks like.

An explained discrepancy, evidence for the agreed correction and a check your operator can repeat. Different definitions can legitimately produce different totals; forced agreement is not the goal.

Review before a quote.

No price, delivery date or result is promised by submitting an inquiry. Scope, delivery route, approved access, quote and acceptance checks are agreed in writing before work begins. A simple platform setting or support fix may be the right answer.

Keep the first brief safe.

Describe the issue without uploading files or sharing credentials. Use synthetic examples or authorized non-personal aggregates. This bounded reporting engagement excludes personal records, payment details, health or regulated data, API or credential setup, production tracking changes, report redesign and recurring monitoring. Other work needs a separate scope.
